Christopher Murdock DeLano

SGT DELANO, Christopher Murdock, 36, of Middleboro passed away unexpectedly on January 29th, 2021. He was born on August 17th, 1984 to Christine (McLeod) DeLano and the late Robert DeLano in Stoughton, MA.

Christopher grew up in Randolph, MA. He attended Blue Hills Regional Technical High School, graduating in 2003 after studying electrical. Growing up Christopher enjoyed visiting his Grandparents where he would swim with his Father. He loved family vacations to New Hampshire. He went on from high school to join the National Guard where he served honorably, achieving the rank of Sergeant. Aside from his family, Christopher’s greatest devotion was to the military.

He will be missed greatly and always remembered for his love of being not only a soldier, but a mentor and a proud father. Christopher is true inspiration and a strong leader, he was a hard worker and a man of many trades. Also known for his craftsmanship and witty sense of humor.

Like his Father, Christopher loved working on home renovations. He loved the outdoors, motorsports, hiking, and fishing were some of his favorites. He adored his 5 dogs, they were the light of his life.

Christopher is survived by his mother Christine DeLano of Taunton, MA, his sister Tauna Holland and her husband Ernie of Taunton, MA, his brother Robert and wife Mary of Brockton, MA and his sister Ashley of Taunton, MA and his daughter Maddison Belo of Middleboro, MA and former spouse Lynda DeLano. Christopher was the loving Uncle to Alexis and Annabelle, Michael and Charlotte, Cade, Skylar and Madison. He was loved by many additional family members and friends as well as all of his brothers and sisters in arms. He is predeceased by his father, Robert DeLano

Visiting hours will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 11:30am-1:30pm at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd., Bourne, MA. Burial is private.

Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, face masks will be required and social distancing will be enforced with a maximum of 25 people allowed in the funeral home at a time.
