Betty Jean Hall

Her final moments were spent peacefully at the McCarthy Care Center in Sandwich, MA after a

courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband, Herbert (Jamie) L. Hall III of Bourne, MA;

her daughter Rachel Davis of Lovell, ME; her daughter Tiffiny Hall of Bourne, MA; her son Jamie Hall of

Bourne, MA; seven grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. She is preceded by her daughter Angela

Hall.

Betty was born on October 30, 1961 in Wareham, MA to Lorraine Gibbs and the late Stanley Gibbs, both

of Bourne, MA and was one of 6 children. Betty met Jamie and fell completely in love; The two were

married on June 30, 1980 and spent 43 wonderful years together.

A free spirit, Betty was known for her kindness toward others and her giving nature. No matter the

occasion, if there were children present, you would be sure to find Betty surrounded by them; This was

indicative of her gentle nature. She had an inviting presence and playful energy that made everyone feel

welcome. Betty also had a passion for nature and gardening. She will be dearly missed by all who knew

and loved her.

Her family asks that she be remembered for the joy she brought to others in life and not for the sadness

of her passing.

A private burial for the family will be held at Pocasset Cemetery. A public gathering in celebration of

Betty’s life will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023, from 5:00pm to 8:00 pm. at The Weary Travelers

Club in Monument Beach.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Betty’s name to the McCarthy Care Center,

which is part of Cape Cod Healthcare.
