Anne Elizabeth Landers beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on the morning of December 10, 2022 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, MA at 80 years of age. She was born on June 19, 1942 in Grafton, Massachusetts to Richard and Winifred (Hope) Lawrence. Anne grew up in the western part of Massachusetts, having lived in Worcester and Upton. When marrying her late husband, Ronald Landers, they settled in Ronald’s home town of Palmer, MA. However, when her husband passed suddenly, she followed her parents, and moved to Pocasset, MA, settling on Bennetts Neck Drive where she resided until her death.
Anne was a Licensed Practical Nurse. She learned early on in her career that she enjoyed working with the elderly population. Anne was dedicated to her patients, and she always found herself getting emotionally attached to them. Over her career, she worked at two nursing homes in Falmouth, the Royal Megansett Nursing Home and Falmouth Nursing Home. She ended her nursing career after working at the Bourne Manor on MacArthur Boulevard.
Anne was preceded in death by both her parents, her husband, and her brother, Walter Lawrence who once resided in Sandwich, MA. She leaves behind her brother, David Lawrence of Saint Joseph, MI and sister-in-law Merry Lawrence of Moosehead Lake, ME. Anne is survived by her four daughters, Anita Landers of Pocasset, MA; Kelly Carlson and her husband, Dave Carlson, of North Falmouth, MA; Tracy Luther and her husband, William Luther, of Bedford, MA; Diedre Potter and her common-law husband, Brian Wurtzburger of Monument Beach, MA. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren: Samantha Sbardella, William Luther Jr., Nicholas Luther, Cody Carlson, Brittany Carlson, and Sydney Schaadt; three great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at the Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home followed by a burial at the Oakland Grove Cemetery both in Bourne, MA.
