Robert (Bob) LeRoy Bouck passed away on September 5, 2022, at the age of 86. Bob is the beloved husband of Carolyn DeVille Bouck, his wife of 63 years. Bob is survived by his children Laura (Kurt) Bittner, Kevin (Jill) Bouck, Brian (James Fultz) Bouck; his dear grandchildren Emma and Spencer Bouck, Katherine (Doc) Fultz-Billingsley, and Peter Fultz; his great grandchildren Emma and Henry; his sister-in-law Linda and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother James Pfannenstiel.
Bob left us on Labor Day. A fitting day to depart. He labored with passion, curiosity, acceptance, and joy in all aspects of his life: marriage, family, friendships, business, and hobbies. A special man who was devoted to his family.
Bob was born March 21, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Irene (Schmook) Bouck. Bob attended Illinois Wesleyan University where he and Carolyn met. He served his country as a medic in the Air National Guard. He worked for Country Financial Services for nearly 40 years in Bloomington, Illinois. His proudest achievement was building the Vehicle Leasing division and serving as the President of the National Vehicle Leasing Association.
After retiring in 1998, Bob and Carolyn moved to Palm Coast, Florida. Bob applied his passion for gardening to foster the re-invigoration of the Friends of Washington Oaks gardens, serving as their president for several years. “Trading friends for family”, they moved from Florida to Broomfield, Colorado in 2013. Continuing his passion for gardening and photography, Bob became an active member of the Anthem Ranch Garden and Photography clubs. His “swan song” was helping to organize the planting and installation of more than 20 succulent planters at the community lodge. For those in the community who knew and loved Bob, the planters will be a welcome and continuing remembrance of Bob and his passionate love of life.
The family wishes to thank the Tru Hospice care team at Longmont United Hospital for their compassionate care of Bob in his final days.
Those wishing to remember Bob may consider a donation to Tru Community Care (https://www.trucare.org/giving-back/ways-to-donate/) or High Plains Environmental Center (https://suburbitat.org/support/). The family requests that no flowers or food be sent.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.cristmortuary.com for the Bouck family.
