Ty grew up in Boulder and attended Whittier Elementary, Casey Junior High and graduated from Boulder High School. Ty spent much of his childhood in Jamestown with Grandma Zoe and Grandpa Milt Janssen in the mountains. Grandpa Milt taught Ty and his brother Clay to fly fish and that is where his passion and love for the outdoors began. He loved fly fishing, enjoyed camping, and listening to the meadowlarks sing. Ty was a sweet, gentle loyal soul. He made a lifetime of hard work in the concrete industry and was well thought of and respected by all for his work ethic, loyalty and love of life.
He is survived by his mother Betty Lou Janssen (Mitchell) of Boulder Colorado, brother Clay Janssen (Sally) of Cheyenne Wyoming, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friend, Jill Friedentag.
Ty played a very important part in the lives of Denne Boring of Lake Tahoe California and Trevor Chervnsik of Redmond Oregon. Trevor and Denne thought of Ty as their dad and he loved them as his own.
Ty was proceeded in death by his father Owen George “Bud” Janssen, grandparents Milt and Zoe Janssen and Frank and Wilma Mitchell.
