Jeanne was born in Watertown, NY to George and Joanne (Chamberlin) Forsyth on September 8th, 1955. After graduating from South Glens Falls High School, Jeanne went on to receive an English degree from The State University of New York at Oneonta.
Beckoned by the Rocky Mountains Jeanne moved to Colorado where she began a 35-year career in Real Estate, alongside her husband Daniel May. Together they raised two children, Scott and Leanne.
Jeanne was a woman led by her many passions. Whether it was exploring the great outdoors, sailing or kayaking on a beautiful day, reading an American classic, tutoring school children, or volunteering in her community, she gave everything she had to everything she did. In recent years she found a home at the Althea Center for Engaged Spirituality where she met treasured friends and found ways to serve those around her. Her vivacity together with her compassion touched countless lives, and she truly found her calling when she was helping people.
She will be painfully missed by the father of her children, Daniel; son Scott Caton May; daughter Leanne Catherine Brink and husband Nicholas Brink; brother Jeffrey Forsyth; sister Joan Denton; sister Lorraine Ray; and sister Sandy Forsyth. Jeanne was preceded in death by her father, George Forsyth; mother, Joanne Forsyth; and brothers Roger and Curt Forsyth.
A funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 26th, 2020 at Crist Mortuary in Boulder, CO at 9am. Please visit www.cristmortuary.com to leave condolences.
