Francis J Reyes

Francis Joseph Reyes passed away Monday evening, August 16, 2010, at The Hospice Care Center of Boulder and Broomfield. He was 84. Born on May 20, 1926, in La Ceiba, Honduras, to Teofilo Reyes and Saludad Munoz. He was sent to the United States at the age of 6 to attend boarding school in New Orleans, La. He was a proud graduate of the University of Notre Dame. On February 3, 1951, at Fort Polk, Louisiana he married Doris Mae Wolford. Francis served in the US Army in Korea in 1950. They had five children, David, Pamela, Keith, James and Stacey Reyes. Francis was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Maria and daughter, Pamela. He is survived by his wife, Doris of Longmont, his daughter Stacey of Longmont, and sons David of Longmont, Keith of Seattle, WA and James Reyes of Longmont. Francis had eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, 4:00-6:00 pm at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, and services Friday, 10:00 am at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 2410 Trade Center Ave, Unit B, Longmont, with interment following at Green Mountain Cemetery, Boulder.
