Carol Ann Long

Carol Ann Long passed away peacefully at her home in Dacono, CO on August 4, 2020 after a short battle with cancer with family by her side. Carol was born on September 18, 1954 in Olean, NY to John and Beulah Boardman. Her family moved to Arizona where she lived for a couple of years and then moved to California where she graduated high school and met her husband, Danny Long.

Carol and Danny married December 31, 1974 in Las Vegas, NV and have five children; Naomi Lanham, Danny (Julia), Michelle (Favorite son-in law, Earl) and Matthew (Bridgette). Eight grandchildren; Kylie (Toby), Tyler, Aaron (Courtney), Ashley, Seth and Danielle, RyleeAnn and Isabella. Three great grandchildren; Kymberlynn, Walker and Jayce.

Carol graduated from Azusa High School and attended college at Mt. Sac. In 1982, she and her family moved to Colorful Colorado. Early on Carol worked as a home healthcare nurse and later worked in property management. She earned her real-estate license and worked for United Professional Management for 20+ years. She enjoyed community theater, and was the secretary/treasurer for LCP and acted in many plays. Twilight Zone plays were her all-time favorite, which she would recruit her grandchildren, husband and Friends to participate in. Carol was also passionate about gardening and canning. She loved making jams, jellies and preserves. She would make these goodies and give them out to her family, community and friends. Whenever family/friends would come to visit, they would leave with arms full of canned goods. Carol also enjoyed playing Tripoly and Bunco with her family and friends.

Carol volunteered with Habitat For Humanity, BARHA, LCP and The Pride of the Glens. She was also involved with Workaholic Anonymous and worked the program and was the official scorekeeper for her children’s softball/baseball teams.

Carol never met a stranger & will be missed by everyone’s life she touched, especially her grand dogs. She is survived by her husband, Danny & her children. Carol is preceded in passing by her parents and 2 brothers; Michael and Richard Boardman.

A memorial service for Carol will be held Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Crist Mortuary, 3395 Penrose Place, Boulder, CO 80301. A committal service will occur Saturday, July 24, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at Mountain View Memorial Park, 3016 Kalmia Ave, Boulder, CO 80301.
