He is survived by his loving wife Shuet Hung Lee maiden name Leung, son Bobby of Lexington, MA, son Steven and wife Linda(Chan) grandsons Ryan and Ethan of Norwood, MA, and son John and wife Frances (Hom) and granddaughter Meredith and grandson Maxwell of Vienna, VA.
Sam, which he was affectionately called, was a longtime bartender at South Pacific Restaurant in Newton, MA and owner/bartender of Toy Huang Restaurant in Merrimack, NH. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed wearing his champion Red Sox, Bruins, and Patriots hats. After retiring he enjoyed traveling and taking cruises with his wife and his many friends. He also loved taking care of his grandchildren. He was a steady presence at all family events.
Sam was born in Hoisan, China and immigrated with his three brothers and father to Boston. He had a hard life working in laundries and Chinese restaurants before going back to Hong Kong to marry his one love (Shuet). Sam and Shuet also known as Sue, raised three successful and caring sons Bobby, Steven and John in Brighton MA. He was a successful businessman and community leader. He will be missed by all that knew him. He always had a joke and ready smile for friends and strangers.
Morning Visitation and Funeral Service will be held at J.S. Waterman Langone Chapel on 580 Commercial Street, Boston, MA 02109 on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Morning Visitation will be held from 9:00AM to 11:30AM with Funeral Services starting at 11:30AM and internment at Forest Hills Cemetery to immediately follow. Complimentary valet parking attendants at front door.
