Antonio Kin Keung Chan, age 73, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and returned to our Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2024. Antonio is survived by his three children - Linda, Philip and Louis, son-in-law – Sean, granddaughters - Haley and Kylie, brother – Peter and wife Laura, sister-in-law - Irene, nephews and niece - Christopher, Andrew, Matthew and Margaret. He was the son of the late Shik Chom and Wai Fong (Lee) Chan, twin brother of the late Joseph Chan and husband of the late Rose Wai Cheng Chan.
Born in Hong Kong, Antonio immigrated to the US in the 1970s and worked as a waiter at the Golden Gate Restaurant in Boston’s Chinatown for most of his life. Right before retirement, he worked as a receptionist at the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England. In retirement, he appreciated the simple pleasures in life like spending time with his granddaughters and taking walks around his neighborhood and Chinatown. He enjoyed food and always had a sweet tooth.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 9:30 AM at St. James the Greater Church, 125 Harrison Ave., Boston, MA 02111 on Saturday, March 9. Visitation at the church will begin at 8:30 AM prior to the Mass. Parking will be available at the Tufts Medical Center parking lot on 51 Hudson St., Boston, MA 02111. Interment will be private.
