William Lee “Bill” McMahan, 59, passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at his home. He was born August 25, 1965, to Harold and Bettie McMahan in Troy, Missouri. He worked construction most of his life, specializing in cement work. He setup and ran multiple cement plants including the Nike building in Memphis. His love of trapping, hunting and farming came early in his life by following in his grandfather, Bud’s footsteps, along with raising alligators, otters and hedgehogs, and continuing with his love of gardening and his 54 chickens. His love of motorcycles was passed down to Little Billy, Joe and Priscilla. His greatest love was his children and grandchildren, and as everyone knows, especially the babies.
A Celebration of Life will be at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, January 12, 2025, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Walter Down and Rev. Joe Coggins officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth “Bettie” McMahan; one son, Seth Lee McMahan; two daughters, Amber Leigh Hance and her husband, Chris and Priscilla McMahan; three brothers, Tim McMahan and his wife Savannah, Chris McMahan and his partner, Samantha Berardino and Josh McMahan; two sisters, Beth Slaughter and her husband Calvin Jr., and Tricia Eigenman; eight grandchildren; and several special nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death his father, Harold Lee McMahan; two sons, William “Billy” Russell McMahan and David Scott McMahan; one sister, Molly Cichon; two brothers-in-law, Bart Cichon and Pete Eigenman; and his grandparents, William Russell “Bud” and Vivian Magee and Oscar Lee and Anna McMahan.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made toward funeral expenses.
