Walter Whitten Hall, 88, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2024. He was born March 29, 1935, to Clyde and Thelma Hall. He was a member of Danville Baptist Church, where he had served as a Deacon, and a Mason. He was a Korean War veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, walking, and riding horses and bicycles.
A Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, February 16, 2024, at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Paul Ray Hall and Bro. David George officiating. Burial will be in Old Kemp’s Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Hall (Pam), Danny Hall (Lisa) and Paul Ray Hall (Angie); two daughters, Donna Plaxico and Paula Hall; four sisters, Mary McCalla, Katie Robinson, Jane Trantham and Vonnie Whitley; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Reba Davis Hall; one son, Jeffrey Scott Hall; his parents; his step-father, Jesse Rinehart; two brothers, James Harold Hall and Jerry Wayne Rinehart; two sisters, Mag Whitley and Burnice McCalla; three grandsons, Eric Plaxico, Jeff Hall and Quaylon Hall;and one great-grandson, Skyler Plaxico.
Pallbearers are his great-grandsons.
