Maxine Cartwright Davis

Vera Maxine Cartwright Davis, 79, died November 8, 2010 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville after an extended illness. She was a homemaker and her church affiliation was Holiness. She was born June 18, 1931 to the late Renzy Lee and Mary Maude “Knight” Cartwright. In 1947 she married Randle Davis, who died in 1974 and in 1975 she married Troy “Hook” Davis, who died in 2008.

She is survived by her only son Roger Dale Davis; her four grandchildren; Billy Dale (Shelly) Davis, Kathy (Bengy) Yates, Patricia Fugitt and Melissa (Stevie) Allen all of Booneville. 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; her sisters, Modina Stroupe, Emma Holland and Genell Windham, one brother , Herschel Cartwright, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She is preceded in death by her brothers, Robert Cartwright, John Bell Cartwright, Roy Lee Cartwright, Leonard Cartwright and one sister Ethel Baggett.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Billy Dale Davis and Bro. Scotty Downs officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-9 pm on Monday, November 9, 2010 and until service time on Wednesday.
