Helen Johnson

Helen Ruth Johnson, 74, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024, at The Med in Memphis. She was born June 27, 1950, to Jack and Viola Cooksey. She was a member of Jones Chapel Church. She worked for the Prentiss County School District, Marathon Cheese and Blue Bell. She enjoyed gardening, yardwork, puzzles and playing solitaire.

A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 9, 2024, at McMillan Funeral Home with Kenneth Johnson delivering the Eulogy. Burial will be in Jones Graveyard. Visitation will be Sunday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

She is survived by one son, Kenneth Johnson Jr; one sister, Juanita McVay; one brother-in-law, Rick Johnson; A special friend, John Stevens; and four grandchildren, John Kyle Bishop, Kaileigh Johnson, Brady Johnson and Jaxon Johnson.

She was preceded in death by husband, Kenneth “Mack” Johnson Sr.; one daughter, Cindy Burns; three brothers, J.C. Cooksey, D.J. Cooksey and J.E. Cooksey; and one sister-in-law, Judy Johnson.

Pallbearers are Dalton Johnson, Ronnie McVay, Brady Johnson, Brent Johnson, Jaxon Johnson and John Kyle Bishop.
