Gerald Nolan Denson, 56, passed away May 19, 2013 at his home in Belmont. He was born January 24, 1957 to Nolan and Ruby Denson of New Site. He was a member of Southland Baptist Church in Memphis. He was appointed Honorary Page of the Tennessee House of Representatives in 1974, he was a part of the ROTC Program and he played the trumpet in the band.
Funeral services will be at 11:00A.M. Thursday, May 23, 2013 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Mike Johnson delivering the eulogy and Bro. Ronnie Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in East Prentiss Cemetery.
He is survived by one daughter, Melissa Denson (Danny) van Beurden of Hernando, MS; one granddaughter, Grace van Beurden; one Grandson, Daniel van Beurden; his parents; one brother, Tim (Patti) Denson of New Site; one sister, Pam Harris of New Site; two nieces and one nephew, Rachel (Jesse) Finley, Matthew Harris and Bree Anne Harris; one great nephew, Leelyn Finley.
He is preceded in death by one brother, Perry Lee Denson.
Pallbearers will be Denny Shaw, Bill Harris, Bill Bradick, Gary Thornton, James Thornton and Lloyd Williams
Visitation will be Wednesday, May 22, 2013 from 5:00 P.M. – 9:00P.M. at McMillan Funeral Home and until service time on Thursday.
