Gladys Elizabeth “Libby” Garner, 85, died Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Landmark Nursing & Rehab in Booneville. She was born May 12, 1924, in Prentiss County to the late W.C. and Rita Cartwright Garner. She was a retired clerk for her father’s cotton office and a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the piano and embroidering.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 3, 2010 at the McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. C. D. Edge and Rev. Gary Glazier officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemetery.
She is survived by her sister, Sue Garner Phillips of Columbus, Georgia; her aunt, Trecia Cartwright of Booneville; two nephews, Michel Phillips and Garner Phillips; great-niece, Ivy Phillips; great-nephew, Benjy Phillips; several special cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ernestine (Stratton) Daniel.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Saturday and continue until service time.
