Donnie Rayburn Horn

Donnie Rayburn Horn 77, passed away at his home April 27, 2019. He was born on March 28, 1942 in New Madrid Missouri to Thurman and Hazel (Sullivan) Horn. He served for 4 years in the United States Air Force. He owned Horn Repair Service and was a retired instructor at Northeast Mississippi Community College. He was a devout Christian and lived every day to serve the Lord. He was a member of Thrasher Baptist Church. He lived on his farm in the Hinkle Community with his wife of 55 years, Alice Crowson Horn. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. He enjoyed raising cattle and planting his annual vegetable garden with his sister Debbie. His greatest joy was spending time with his five grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 30, 2019 11:00 am at McMillan Funeral Home in Booneville with Bro. Doug Rakestraw and Gary Huddleston officiating. Visitation will be at McMillian Funeral Home Monday, April 29, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 pm. Burial will be in Hinkle Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Crowson Horn of Rienzi; Son, Michael Brian Horn (Laurie) of Rienzi; Daughter, Laura Horn McCreary (Mark) of Baldwyn; Special Son and Daughter, Burt and Jackie Griffin; Grandsons, Michael Dylan Horn of Rienzi, Chancy James Griffin of Saltillo, John Mark McCreary of Baldwyn; Granddaughters, Claudia Alise McCreary of Oxford, Kaylie Olivia Griffin of Saltillo; Brothers, Gaither Horn of Rienzi, Lanny Horn (Barbara) of Rienzi, Jerry Horn (Melissa) of Booneville; Brother-in-laws Dan Polaski of Hickory Hills, Illinois, Jude McGrath (Wanda) of Rienzi; Sisters, Sandra Pinkoski (Roger) of Phoenix, Arizona, Carolyn Hall of Fresno, California, Debbie Hutchens of Booneville. He was affectionately known as Uncle Donnie to a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Daughter, Paula Horn Griffin; Grandson, Michael Brian Horn Jr.; Sisters, Brenda Horn Polaski, Reba Horn McGrath and Sherrie Horn.

Pallbearers will be Gerald Scott, Randy Michael, Jimmy Grimes, Harold Eaton, Ronnie Johnson, Brian Rowland. Ricky Hannon, Robert Dodson and Frank Gamble.

Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers and grandsons.
