Billy Edward Burnett Sr.

Billy Edward Burnett, Sr., 71, of Rienzi passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Magnolia Regional Health Center. Billy served as Sergeant of the Booneville Police Department for many years and was a longtime member of the Rienzi Fire Department where he served as Assistant Chief. He loved hunting, fishing, watching westerns and going to auction sales.

A celebration of life will be at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, December 23, 2024 at McMillan Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Williams officiating. Burial will be in the Rienzi Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M until service time on Monday at the funeral home.

He is survived by his son, Billy Edward Burnett, Jr. (Christie); his daughter, Natasha Sanders (BJ); his grandchildren, Kaleigh Sanders, Kaden Sanders, Chloe Sanders, Cole Sanders, Anna Claire Burnett, Noah Burnett, Leah Burnett, Ezekiel Burgess, Paytlin Mizell, Patience Hite, and Pierson Hite; and his niece, Karen Jenkins.

He is preceded by his parents, Lawrence Edward Burnett and Maxine Burnett Leatherwood; his wife, Barbara Burnett; and his brothers, Bobby Burnett and Wayne Burnett.

Pallbearers will be members of the Fire Department.
