Ronald Selvin Engen

Ronnie was born in Hawley, MN on April 10, 1939, he was the third child born to his parents Selvin and Edna Engen. He grew up on the family farm with his other siblings then he met the love of his life Joyce in 1957, and when married in 1958 they moved west to California, where they raised their three sons, Randy, Bruce and Rodney.

In San Diego, he worked for over 40 years in the construction industry building residential and commercial retail and school buildings. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends camping, racing, and driving his old cars and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Ronnie was a beloved, husband, father and grandfather and had many friends and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, sons Randy Engen, Bruce Engen (Sherry), and Rodney Engen (Dolly), and his grandchildren. Also survived by, his sister Arlys and brother Vernon and preceded in death of brother Orrin and his parents.

Funeral Services honoring Ronnie will occur on November 6, 2024 at 11:00 am in the Magnolia Room at

Glen Abbey Memorial Park and Mortuary at 3838 Bonita Road, Bonita, CA 91902. Followed by a Committal Service at Glen Abbey Memorial Park.
