Everyone’s life is the sum total of all of the people they have met, the things they have done, the places they have gone. Martha Margarita Ruiz Garcia was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Martha will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Martha was born on June 9, 1944 in Tijuana, Mexico. Her parents were Jose de Jesus Ruiz Carrizoza and Sarah Lopez de Ruiz. Martha was raised in Tijuana along with her brothers Rogelio, Alfonso, Ruben, Raul, Rene and Ernesto and sisters Raquel, Maria-Luisa, Rosalva and Sarah.
Martha exchanged wedding vows with Alfredo B. Garcia on June 3, 1967 in Tijuana, Mexico. Empathic and loyal…Martha was committed to making her new family happy.
While everything a person does in life contributes to who they grow into, it is ultimately the same person who holds the most influence on the next generation. Martha was blessed with 4 children, 2 sons Alfredo and Jesus and 2 daughters Martha and Maribel. Martha did her best to fulfill her children’s needs, raising them in a positive and nurturing environment. Later in life, Martha was blessed again with 6 grandchildren.
Martha enjoyed her leisure time in powers walking, gardening, family time, word searches and most importantly praying the Rosary. Her accomplishments in life were Martha was a terrific speller and had a “green” thumb. She did an amazing job at raising her family, a great financial planner and an awesome interior designer and of course being a #1 Mom.
Martha passed away due to cancer on May 28, 2016 in Chula Vista, California. She is survived by her husband Alfredo B. Garcia, sons and daughters Alfredo, Martha, Maribel and Jesus. Son-in-laws: Joe Garcia, Teofilo Rosales and daughter-in-law’s Iris Cervantes-Garcia, Priscilla Pittman-Garcia and her loving grandchildren Alonzo, Elyssa, Giselle, Rafael, Emilio and Carlo. She leaves many other family members and friends to cherish her memory.
Services for Martha Margarita Ruiz-Garcia are handled by Glen Abbey Mortuary. A visitation service will be held on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Glen Abbey’s Chapel of the Roses in Bonita, California. A Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10:00 at Our Lady of Guadalupe in Chula Vista, California with Interment service to follow. Martha will be laid to rest in Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, California on June 9, 2016.
Simply stated, Martha was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. She leaves behind the legacy of a loving family, life-long friendships and many cherished memories.
