He is survived by Jean, his wife of nearly 58 years. They met in 1963 when he was stationed at the US Naval Facility in Barbados, West Indies and were married on July 18, 1964. He is also survived by his five children-Deva (husband John), Jody (wife Danielle), Dion (fiancée Patricia), Suzanne (husband Santiago), and Deborah; his nine grandchildren- Gianna, Nicole (fiancée Paul), Joven, Sabrina, Alexa, Genelle, Xylina, Connie, and Jennifer; his two great-grandchildren- Ezekiel and Elektra; sister-Leticia Abesamis and many loving nieces and nephews.
Arturo served in the U.S. Navy for twenty-two years from 1953-1975. After retirement he worked at the Naval Submarine Base in Point Loma and at the Naval Public Works Center.
He was the happiest when spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. He touched the lives of many and was a blessing and gift to all. We’ll always remember his bright smile and he will forever be in our hearts.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.glenabbeysandiego.net for the Castro family.
