Roy Leon McCall

Roy Leon McCall 66, of Shallotte, died Sunday December 14th at his residence. Leon was born March 20, 1948 the son of the late Johnnie Melvin and Thelma Kathleen McCall. He was predeceased by four brothers, Johhnie McCall Jr., Douglas McCall, Eddie McCall and Wayne McCall, and one sister Colene Hewett. He is survived by three Sisters, Etta Mae Hale and husband Ralph. Rhoda Bullock and husband Buddy, Alice Hewett and husband Lynnwod, and Brother Dwight McCall and wife Faye.

Known as the “Bottle Man” Leon was a face known by many. He never met a stranger and was a beloved neighbor and friend. His smiling face and warm heart will never be forgotten. His family wishes to express thanks to the many people who helped him along the way, with car rides and keeping him company in his travels. A special thanks to David Lee for being Leon’s best friend and caregiver.

A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 3:00pm at the Coble Ward-Smith Funeral Service Chapel in Supply. A visitation will begin at 1:00pm. Condolences to the family may be offered at www.coblewardsmithwilmington.com
