Perry was born in Fayetteville, North Carolina to James Clyde and Hermine Dosher Hall on August 16, 1951. He attended Union High School and graduated from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. He married Beryl Highsmith on August 20, 1978 in Harrells, North Carolina. He retired from Brunswick Community College as the Director of Continuing Education when his eldest granddaughter was born. He spent the first years of his retirement babysitting his precious granddaughters who referred to him as “PopPop”.
He was preceded in death by his father James Clyde Hall and a sister Susan Hall Barber.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 45 years, Beryl Hall, sons Fitzgerald Hall (Vicki) and Hunter Hall, and daughter Brittany Beryl Carlton(Shawn), his mother Hermine “Sissy” Hall, sister Wanda Hall, grandchildren Sadie Hall, Katie Hall, Willow Ann Carlton, and Lilian Hall Carlton. He also left behind his beloved dog Bastion.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, April 12, 2024 at White’s Funeral and Cremation in Bolivia, North Carolina. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11:00 am at Siloam Baptist Church in Harrells, North Carolina.
Anybody that knew Perry knew that he loved anything to do with hunting, fishing and feeding his family and friends. So, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to any local wildlife conservation organization. (National Wild Turkey Federation or Ducks Unlimited)
