William J. Mahoney, 83, of Delray Beach passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015. William was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey where he attended Catholic Schools and graduated from St. Mary's in 1952. During his high school years he played baseball, basketball and football. After high school he joined the Air Force during the Korean War. During his service he played for the Air Force European Basketball Team. He coached youth sports and retired from Siemens in 1996.
Surviving William is his loving wife of 58 years, Helen Kimak, his son Bill and his wife Theresa, his son George and his wife Louise, four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Babione Funeral Home, 10060 Calle Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, FL 33428. Funeral Services with Military Honors will begin at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Veterans Foundation.
