On Sunday, February 5, 2023, William (Bill) Morton Jackson, a beloved husband, and father, passed away in Boca Raton, FL, at the age of 77. Bill was born in Wilmington, Delaware, on September 7, 1945, to the late Morton and Catherine Jackson of Elkton, MD.
He married his wife Sharon in 1966 and they had three children. In the early 80s, Bill relocated his family from Maryland to Texas, and made their home in Clear Lake (Houston), where they resided until retiring to Boca Raton, FL, in 2022.
Bill’s passion for taking on new challenges led him to pursue a variety of interests. However, his career as a Chemical Operator for Diamond Shamrock and Haldor Topsoe was the defining occupation of his life. Never one to shy away from a challenge, he also held positions in real estate, transportation and car sales. Bill had many hobbies that would consume his free time, including Fishing, Hunting, Bowling, Golf, and Poker. He was also one heck of a pool shark when the mood struck him.
Bill always had a big heart, a friendly smile, and never met a stranger. He will be greatly missed.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Sharon Lilly Jackson of 56 years; son William Jackson, Jr. and wife Elizabeth Jackson of Allen, TX; daughter Lori Young and husband Thomas (Teddy) Young of Parkland, FL; daughter Christy Dunnahoe and husband Dennis (Mike) Dunnahoe of Houston, TX. Sisters Carol Jones and Donna Perri, both of Crosby, Texas; five Grandchildren Sarah Skov, Lee Austin Bates, Jacob Dorsey, Adam Jackson, and Margo Jackson; three Great Grandchildren, Liam Skov, Levi Skov, and Harry Bates.
Along with his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his brother Thomas Jackson and his sister Kathy Koslak.
Services to remain private. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in memory of Bill Jackson to the American Diabetes Association.
