Robert served 5 years in the N.Y.S. National Guard at Camp Smith U.S. Army Base in Peekskill, New York. He then obtained a College degree from Mercy College in Yorktown, New York. He worked for the IBM Corporation in Poughkeepsie, New York for 35 years as a Draftsman and Designer in Technology. After retirement from IBM, he became a Professional Photographer shooting landscapes, portraits and weddings. He served on the POA Board as a representative in charge of Landscape at his Florida Community. He was a former athlete playing baseball, basketball, and football, at Haldane High School with football being his foremost love. He went on to play semi-pro football until the age of 30. He was a parishioner at Mary of the Highlands Episcopal Church in Cold Spring, New York. Robert was a member of various photography organizations both in New York and in Florida, and a member of the Cold Spring Chamber of Commerce. He and his wife, Rose, operated an antique store in Cold Spring from 1972-1982. He loved all sports and his N.Y. Giants were his passion, as he never missed one of their games.
Robert is survived by his beautiful wife Rose whom he was married to for 52 years, and Sister-in-laws: Carol and Lisa (and brother-in-laws; Larry and Steve). He has 3 Nephews Ryan, Patrick (his Godson), James, and a Niece Katie. He was steadfast and provided support and council to his family when called upon and will be dearly missed.
A visitation for Robert will take place on Tuesday, January 12th 2016 starting at 10 am, with a funeral service at 12 pm. Robert will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Delray Beach Memorial Gardens Municipal Cemetery in Delray Beach FL.
