Peter R. Russo

Russo, Peter, R., 68, of Boca Raton, FL and formerly of New York City, passed away surrounded by his family on June 1, 2012. Peter was the second American generation of an Italian family that resided in Queens. He proudly served during the Vietnam war with the United States Navy. A very humble man, he was a dedicated father to two sons, Ron and Scott. As a funeral director, he served numerous families at a most difficult time in a very caring and loving fashion. A stroke forced him to retire early and he settled in South Florida shortly thereafter. He is survived by his loving wife, Marie Camuti Russo; two sons, Ronald (Dawn) Russo and Scott (Tina) Russo; three grandchildren, Julianna, Olivia (Shirley Temple), and Ryan; and his sister, Geraldine. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church on Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at 10AM. A Memorial Service and Inurnment at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Gardens in Farmingdale, NY will take place at a later date.
