Newman Kunti Lin

Dr. Newman K. Lin, Ph.D. P.E. was an inventor, entrepreneur, and academic. From humble beginnings on a farm in rural Taiwan, he lived a full life – living through military rule in Taiwan before immigrating to the United States as a “New Man” in 1976. He was a Second Lieutenant in the Taiwanese Military Police force, the former Taiwanese Chamber of Commerce Miami president and a professor at Florida Atlantic University. With two patents under his name, he graduated with a Ph.D. from University of California, Berkeley, an M.S. from University of Florida, and B.S. from National Taiwan Oceanic University. He ran a successful nutritional supplement company at the end of his life.

Born in Taiwan, he found peace on December 24, 2023 at the age of 71 in Boca Raton, Florida. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and his grandchild, Marie.
