7, 2018 at her home. Mary was born in Boston, MA on May 29, 1940, a
daughter of the late Frank and Mary Letteri nee Luccisano. She has been
a dedicated wife to Dr. Vincent Finelli and a wonderful mother to her
three sons, Nicolas, Marcello and Vincenzo. Early in her life she was a
floral designer, manager of her family flower shoppe and taking evening
courses at the Boston University, but her passion for education was
expressed only after the birth of her children by becoming a full time
student at the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with the
highest honor, "Summa cum laude". She continued her studies by achieving
a Master Degree and a Doctor of Education in only 3 years, at the same
time she continued to be a great wife and excellent mother, loved by her
family. She did not pursue a professional career because of her
dedication to her family, but she taught English Composition as a
lecturer at the University of Cincinnati and at the Florida Atlantic
University, again achieving high ratings from her students and peers.
Her hobby was cruising, together with her husband, in six continents
with numerous ships and writing cruise reviews published on various web
sites. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Vincent
Finelli, her sons Nicolas, Marcello and Vincenzo, her brothers Joseph,
Frank and George and her sisters Theresa and Elizabeth.
