Marie A Sommers

Marie A. Sommers, 88, Boca Raton, Florida and formerly of East Norriton, Pa passed away, Friday, February 16, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Majka) Sommers and sister of the late Rita Ferris. She is survived by her sister, Joan Hilton (George) and her brother-in-law Francis P. Ferris. Other survivors include nephews Daniel C. Ferris (Theresa), Michael F. Ferris (Lorraine), Gary P. Ferris (Robert) and David Toutkoushian (Meri)-children Drew, Joe, Mark, Sofia and Bella; nieces Kathleen M. Zamorski (Walter J. III) and Susan Klosterman (Steven) great niece, Ashley M. Dats (Nazar), great nephew. Jeffrey W. Zamorski, Ryan Klosterman, Megan Klosterman, first cousin, Richard S. Zawisza, several other cousins, many great-great nieces and nephews and her beloved dog Angel.

Marie was a career office manager and a participant on project teams. Marie was a devout Catholic who enjoyed being part of the Church communities of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Boca Raton, Florida and St. Helena Parish in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania. Marie was a firm believer in the power of prayer. Throughout her life, Marie volunteered considerable time assisting the less fortunate. In her retirement, Marie enjoyed participating in Church groups, attending Church functions, gardening, attending entertainment and dining events with her best friends, Elaine and Jackie, and just enjoying the fresh night air conversing with her Florida neighbors. Marie was very patriotic. In her last several years, Hope Ministry Volunteers, Mary Viadero and Dale Maccutcheon, were a treasure to Marie, assisting with life issues and providing Marie with a quality social and spiritual connection.

Funeral Services will be provided by the Boyd-Horrox-Givnish Life Celebration Home of East Norriton. The family will receive friends for a Church viewing at 10 A.M. on Friday February 23, 2024 at St Helena Church, 1489 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell, Pa. 19422, followed by a memorial Mass at 11A.M. Interment will follow at Westminster Cemetery, Bala Cynwyd, Pa. Her funeral mass will be livestreamed at this link https://livestream.com/sthelena
