Joseph Arthur Heffernan

Joseph Arthur Heffernan, 58, of Boca Raton, passed away suddenly on Saturday, August 17, 2013. He is survived by his wife, Dina, and daughters, Jenna and Kate. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Stephanie and Ralph Koebel of Ohio, Patrick and Karin Heffernan of Virginia, Bill and Kathy Heffernan of Miami Shores, John and Bernadette Heffernan of Kendall, Laurie Daly of Miami Shores, Art and Tina Heffernan of Miami Shores, and Matthew and Bonnie Heffernan of Miami Shores along with many nieces and nephews. He was a graduate of Notre Dame with a degree in Bachelor of Science and received his MBA at Northwestern University. Joseph was instrumental in the management and development of several Florida private communities, including McArthur Golf Course in Hobe Sound, FL and the Vines Country Club in Fort Myers, FL. Joseph was an avid sportsman, favoring golf, hiking and tennis. He was also an avid lover of the outdoors, visiting with his family 38 national park in the US. His family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations may be sent to Boca Helping Hands, 1500 NW First Ct, Boca Raton 33432. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 21, at 10:00 am at the Babione Funeral Home at 10060 Calle Comercio, Boca Raton.
