Donna was born Feb. 29, 1956 in Queens, New York and graduated from Lawrence High School. She then moved to Valley Stream, New York, where she married her husband of 40 years, John D’Aria. When they moved to Boca Raton, Florida, in 1996, Donna began her 20-year career at Spanish River Community High School, as she had a passion for believing in and loving all children. Donna was fondly known for her carefree and free-spirited way. Her family was her everything. She loved dogs, music and butterflies made her heart smile.
Donna is dearly missed by her husband, John; her daughter, Denise, son-in-law, Michael, and grandchildren, Lillian and Michael; her son, Vincent, and daughter-in-law, Jamie; her sister, Marilyn; her nephew, Trey; her miniature poodle, Dezi; and family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Babione Funeral Home at 10060 Calle Comercio Drive in Boca Raton on Sunday, Oct. 30, 2-6 p.m. A mass will take place on Monday, Oct. 31, 9:30 a.m., at Our Lady of Lourdes, 22094 Lyons Road in Boca Raton. Donna requested everyone wear purple and white.
