Denise Carbone

Denise Carbone, of Lake Worth, FL, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 2nd surrounded by her family and loved ones. Denise was married to the love of her life, her husband, Kim Plumacher.

Originally born in Hollywood, Florida, Denise spent much of her early life in Westchester County, New York. After graduating from Edgemont High School in Scarsdale, New York in 1974, Denise earned her associate degree and national certification as Court Stenographer from the Stenographic Institute in New York City. After several years of working for others in the field and true to her independent and entrepreneurial spirit, Denise began her own Stenography company and soon employed over 50 employees who she called “her associates”. For over 34 Years “Carbone and Associates” provided court stenography and reporting services to courts, cities and towns as well as the legal community throughout the New York Tri State area. She always had a passion for helping others and during her spare time Denise taught stenography to students at various schools for free,inspiring them to learn the trade to become financially independent and achieve excellence in that field.

The Sunshine State always had a special place in her heart and after selling her business, Denise made her way back to her place of birth with her soulmate Kim where they would share their lives and new friends and family in a place she called her “Paradise”.

Never to slow down, Denise put her soulful energy to working at the Falls Club of the Palm Beaches in the finance department where she loved interacting with her fellow colleagues and the club members.

Denise was that special person who everyone that met her fell in love with. She was a beacon of light and joy, and her love of life was so inspiring to all. The most important thing to Denise was her family and she loved them with all her heart. She had a passion for the outdoors, loved to dance, hike, walk, travel and enjoy friends. Denise loved a party and was great at organizing them as well. She had a sense of humor that would fill a room and brighten everyone around her. She was interested in who you were and truly listened, cared and loved so many. When she hugged you, you knew you had been hugged. She was FUN! Nature was her happy place and she loved to be outside. She would sit and stare at the beauty of the world, sing to the birds and just truly enjoy everything life had to give her. Her beautiful smile, ever present in every photo of her, emanated from her soul.

She had a passion for tennis and loved to play…...and everyone wanted to play with Denise. Each game was full of laughter and fun! She created a sister group with her friends that has been going on for ten years.

Many will tell you she was such a spark and had a special spirit that will live on forever. We will always love and remember Denise’s joy for life and kindness. A light has been taken from us far too soon. Heaven has truly gained an angel and she will be greatly missed by all.

She is predeceased by her father, Pat Carbone. Left to treasure her memories are her Mother, Dolores Carbone, her loving siblings Louis Carbone (Kathryn); Lynn Spoor (Mark). She is also survived by her nieces, Dana Calcagno (David) Francesca Carbone and nephew, Harrison Carbone. Denise is survived by mountains of friends who were all so special to her.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 27th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Theresa Church, 11800 Lake Worth Rd., Wellington, FL 33449.

Anyone who knew Denise knows that she would have wanted to have a Celebration of Life, so you are asked to join the family as we celebrate Denise. Reception to be held at The Falls Club at 1 p.m. 6455 Jog Road, Lake Worth, FL 33467. We all know Denise loved a good party so please join us in celebrating such a special person!

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Denise’s name to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
