Brian is survived by his wife Sheila, daughter Stephanie, son Brian, step-daughters Angelina and Francesca DiGiovanni, father John, sister Lisa Kaufman, niece Bailey Kaufman, daughter-in-laws Darcy Holm and Pilly Puertas, close friend Tara Tuozzo, and many other beloved friends and family. He was preceded in death by his mother Helen. Brian was the most loving father, husband, son, brother, and friend.
Brian was born on May 13, 1965 in Queens, New York to John and Helen Bachar. After graduating from high school, he entered the police academy and became a New York City Police Officer for Midtown South on July 8, 1985. After an injury forced Brian to retire from the NYPD in 1994, he began work in security and spent five years working as Director of Security for Trump Tower in New York City. In 2000, he moved his family to Wellington, Florida and started the first of nineteen years working as Director of Security for Titan International and Woodfield Country Club. He was adored by his co-workers and community members.
Brian most enjoyed spending his time with his wife and family. He loved being around the people who meant the most to him and genuinely appreciated the beauty that surrounded him. He often reminded others to slow down and be grateful for the gift of life. He would pause to appreciate simple moments and never missed an opportunity to let those he loved know just how much he loved them. He enjoyed time with friends and family, traveling, watching sports, working out, playing Jenga, and living life to the fullest. You would never know he had a worry in the world. Brian exuded joy and it was heartily felt by all of those around him.
A celebration of Brian's life will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 between the hours of 4:00pm-8:00pm
at Babione Funeral Home (on the southwest corner of Glades and State Road 7), 10060 Calie Comercio Drive, Boca Raton, Fl 33428. Those who knew and loved Brian are welcome to join his family and friends as they celebrate and honor his memory.
