Peggy Sue Holt, 71, of Bloomington, died Tuesday, June3, 2014 in her residence. She was born July 11, 1942 in Chapel Hill, Indiana to Gilbert Smith and Goldie Norman Smith. She was retired from General Electric, but her main passion was caring for and keeping track of her family. She was a member of Dolan Ridge Community Church.
Survivors include her children, Farren “Pete” Turpin and his wife Treva of Vernon, Florida, Karen Sue Tamewitz and her husband Joseph of Bloomington, David Turpin of Bloomington and Sandra Scrimager and her husband Ryan of Attica, Indiana; eight grandchildren, Leah, Lisa, Teddy, Shaylee, Eric, Joey, Shawn and Megan; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eris Holt; and six brothers and sisters, Robert, Frieda, Gene, Donny, Perry and her twin sister, Patty.
Funeral Services are scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2014 at10:00 AM in Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 W Gourley Pike, with her nephew, Ronnie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Salt Creek Township Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled for Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4:00 – 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
