Loretta Leigh Myers, age 63, of Peru, passed away on Sunday morning, September 14, 2014, at Caring Hands Health Care Center in Peru. She was born January 12, 1951, in Linton, Indiana, the daughter of Gerald & Betty (Sinders) Reed.
On October 10, 1980, Loretta married Jim Myers, and they had one daughter. A former hairstylist, she enjoyed gardening, nature and spending time with her granddaughters.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Myers of Peru, one daughter and son-in-law, Shona and Curt Bedwell of Fishers, a sister, Marty Near of Linton, a brother, Jerry Reed of Linton and three grandchildren, Trey Bedwell, Taylor Bedwell and Ashlyn Bedwell.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Friends and family are invited to a memorial celebration of her life to be held at Deremiah-Frye Mortuary, Greene & Harrell Chapel, 700 West Gourley Pike, Bloomington, IN on Saturday, September 20 at 3:00 P.M. with Rev. Frank Helton officiating. There will be a gathering of friends and family from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. on Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
The family suggests memorial contributions be given to the Alzheimers Association or to the D.A.V.
