Lillian “Louise” Johnson, 91, of Bloomington, Indiana, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 in Monroe Hospital. She was born February 2, 1922 in Bloomington to Ira Grover Stewart and Elizabeth Palsak Stewart. Louise was retired from RCA as an inspector, after retiring from RCA she continued working as a seamstress for Stewart and Johnson. She was a member first of the First Church of God and then the New Unionville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, William S. Robertson of Denver, CO; a daughter, Susan Stewart King and her husband Michael of Colorado Springs, CO; a brother, Don Stewart of Lakewood, CO; seven grandchildren, Paula Scholz, Kathy McWhorter, Aaron Robertson, Aimee Hellem, Kerri Slone, Heather Cole and Beth Correll; twelve great-grandchildren; and some nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Francis Robertson; a daughter, Linda Johnson; a son, Stephen Johnson; a sister, Helen Johnson; two brothers, Ira Grover Stewart, Jr. and Raymond Stewart; a grandson, Benjamin Easton; and a sister-in-law, Edna Stewart.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 in Day Funeral Home, 4150 East Third ST., with Pastor Les Rovenstine officiating. Private burial will take place in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Visitation is scheduled prior to services, Saturday, February 15, 2014 from 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. If friends so desire, Memorial Contributions may be made to the New Unionville Baptist Church, 6020 E. St. Rd. 45, Bloomington, IN 47408, or The Salvation Army, 111 N. Rogers ST., Bloomington, IN 47404.
