Gary Lee Broxton, age 75, of Bloomington, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the I.U. Health; Bloomington Hospital. Born September 2, 1947 in Pana, Illinois, he was the son of Gordon and Georgette (Pastor) Broxton. Gary earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Parks College, St. Louis University in St. Louis, Missouri. He retired in 1999 from Crane N.S.W.C. after 29 years of service as an aeronautical engineer. Gary was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Amy E. (Benjamin) Broxton, of Bloomington; three sons, Nolan Broxton, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Lee (Tina) Broxton, of Ellettsville and Paul Broxton, of Bloomington; three granddaughters, Brooke, Chloe and Megan, one great-grandchild, Violet and one sister, Debbie (Randy) Rinehart, of Martinsville, Indiana.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Father Tom Kovatch officiating. A rosary will be recited by the Knights of Columbus at 12:30 p.m. Friday prior to the Mass. Friends may visit the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
