Freda M. Stevens, 90 of Bloomington passed away at her daughter’s house in Terre Haute on Wednesday, December 15. She was born on March 1, 1920 in Virden, Illinois to the late Ray and Ruth (Cline) Lomelino.
She retired from RCA as a Group leader after 29 years of employment. She was a member of McDoel Baptist Church. Freda was a long time volunteer at Bloomington Hospital and Opportunity House. She was also a member of Evening Belles Home Extension Club.
She leaves behind her daughters Karen Richardson of Sun City, Arizona; Ruth Ann (Philip) Cooper of Bloomington; and Kimberly (Larry) Eads of Terre Haute. She also leaves behind her brothers Kenneth Lomelino of Illinois, and Donald Lomelino of Florida, and her sister Janet Tucker of Illinois; her grandchildren Eric Richardson, Kristina Fries, Michelle Stesiak, Curtis Richardson, Karrie Cooper, Rachel Eads, Tammy Cory, Troy Eads; 14 great-grandchildren; and 1 great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband William E. Stevens, and 7 siblings.
Friends may call at the Deremiah-Frye Mortuary on Saturday, December 18 from 9:30 AM until time of the service. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home with Rev. Harold Carter officiating. Burial will take place at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
