September 11, 1963 - November 9, 2023
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vivian Diane Howard, a beloved mother, sister, aunt and faithful member of the Jehovah Witness community who left this world on November 9, 2023. Vivian was born on September 11, 1963, and her departure leaves a void that will be deeply felt by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Vivian was a proud graduate of Bloomington High School, where she formed lasting friendships and began to carve out her path in life. She went on to make meaningful contributions and connections leaving an indelible mark on those she encountered.
In her professional journey, Vivian dedicated her time and gifts to Jewel Osco, where she worked diligently, leaving a positive impression on colleagues and customers alike for 10 years. Her commitment to provide service later extended to her role at Illinois State University for 30 years where Vivian's work ethic and kindness were a source of inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Vivian found her greatest joy in being a devout Jehovah's Witness, finding solace and strength in her faith. Her commitment to living in accordance with her beliefs was evident in the way she approached life with grace, resilience, and compassion.
Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Pearline Perry and her sister, Pamela Perry.
Vivian is survived by her loving daughter, Paris Perry; sisters: Gwendolyn and Robyn Perry; brother Tony (Ann) Perry; nephews: Dominique Atwater, Jalen, Robert and Reece Perry. In this time of mourning, let us remember Vivian for the joy she brought into our lives, the kindness she shared with everyone around her, and the enduring love that will forever remain in our hearts.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Fresenius Kidney Care in Normal.
A memorial service to celebrate Vivian's life will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 1213 East Emerson Street, Bloomington IL on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Online condolences may be sent to the family at eastlawnmemorial.com
With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
