Gary C Baker

Gary was born October 17, 1954, in Pekin, the son of Jack P. and Virginia G. (Colvin) Baker. He married Jackie Thacker on September 23, 1978, in Normal. She survives.

Also surviving is their daughter, Krystin Baker of O’Fallon; a brother, Greg R. (Barb) Baker of Normal; and a niece, Kimberli Conder of Joliet. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Gail S. Conder.

Gary retired from State Farm Insurance after 45 years, working in Information Technology aa a System Technician. He was involved with the building of the data centers at the ISC’s Atlanta GA, Dallas TX and Phoenix AZ and recently Richardson TX and Olathe KS He took great pride and joy in his work. Mr. Baker spent much of his down time with his wife, Jackie at their second home at the Lake of the Ozarks, MO. He enjoyed boating and cracking a cold one with close friends and family.

Per Gary’s wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be shared with the family at eastlawn-bloomington.com.
