Bloomington – Bryce Charles House, age 64, of Bloomington passed away at 8:40 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Advocate-BroMenn Medical Center in Normal. He was born September 24, 1952 in Morris, Illinois, the son of William and Bernetta Thompson House. He married JoAlice Root on August 26, 1972 in Assumption, Illinois. She survives.
He worked at State Farm for 40 years, working at both corporate headquarters and the Minnesota regional office, finally retiring in 2014.
Bryce was a member of Eastview Christian Church and lived his faith. Time spent with his wife, daughters, friends and extended family brought him great joy. Bryce was loved and respected by everyone he met.
In addition to his wife, Bryce is survived by two daughters Natasha House of New York, New York and Lucia House of Round Rock, Texas; a brother, Wesley (Marcia) House of Colorado; and a sister, Janice (Don) Dorheim of Wisconsin. He is also survived by sisters-in-law, Judy (Kenny) Workman, Assumption, IL, Mary Donna (Tom) Rodden, Georgia and brother-in-law, Gary Root, Indiana, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 5th at noon at Eastview Christian Church in Normal. Visitation will be held at the church from 9 a.m. until noon on Monday.
