On August 31, 1993 at Parkview Community Hospital at approximately 1:35 PM Marlena Selene White and Jamon Terrell Hampton were blessed with their very own prince, Jamon Terrell Hampton Jr. He was such a happy baby and grew into a remarkable young man.
Jay began his education in 1997 at Ina Arbuckle Elementary from there he attended many different schools throughout the Riverside County and San Bernardino County school districts.
One thing Jay enjoyed doing and excelled in was Football. He started off playing Pop Warner Football for the Jurupa Steelers and the Riverside Rams, where he played the positions of a corner and Full Back. In 2004 The Riverside Rams won the Junior All American Championships. He attended North High school where he continued playing football during his freshman year and his team was undefeated.
During his young adult years Jay made many achievements. One that he was very proud of was working with his father at Fleetwood. Another that he was also very proud of was being given the opportunity to care for both his grandmothers, Mrs. Dora Hardin and Mrs. Lydia Vasquez, before they were laid to rest.
Also proceeding him in death are is maternal grandparents, Darnell and Giovanie White.
Jay had dreams of one day getting married and having a family of his own. In May of this year he got engaged to his girlfriend, Valerie Martinez whom he loved dearly, with plans to get married and start a family of his own.
Jamon was the kind of person that anyone would be proud to call son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, or friend. He always found time for the people he deeply cared about, and his love was meaningful and enduring.
That Love is the reason we’re all here today. . .
One thing I can say, and I know you’d all agree, is that he had a heart of gold and a smile so bright he could light up a room. Wherever he went, he was such a comedian. Even on your worse day he could put a smile on your face.
A memory we all share and cherish Forever.
Jamon is survived by his grandmother Yolonda Smith Moore, his grandfather Claude Hampton, his mother Marlena Selene White, his father Jamon Terrell Hampton, two stepmothers Saria and Chavonne, two sisters Asia and Aniya Hampton, three brothers Deshan, Trejon, and Rai’mon Hampton. Five aunts Stephanie and Tamiko White, and Sade . Ariana, Julia Hampton, two uncles Darnell White III and Dion Hampton. His closest cousins, who he considered his brothers and sisters, and a host of other family and friends.
“Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal but loves leaves a memory that no one can steal.”
-Rest in Peace Jay.
