Chester E. Jordan, Jr. (93) died peacefully, surrounded by family and prayer, after receiving the Holy Last Rites, on January 12, 2021. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana to Chester Elwood, Sr. and Rachael (Taylor) Jordan, Chester is preceded in death by his brothers Donnie and Richard. He is survived by his sisters Marilyn Hudson (Rialto, California) and Beverley Wood (Victor, Iowa). After graduating from High School, Chester moved to California, where he met and married Marjorie Porter (deceased 2013) in 1950. Chester worked for Western Amusement California in various capacities ranging from Theater Manager to Controller for over 40 years. Chester and Margie were married for 63 years and are survived by four children and their spouses: Tim and Karen (Rivas) Jordan; Susan (Jordan) and Chuck Cole; Tobie (Jordan) and Danny Duarte; Randy and Donna (Reddoch) Jordan. Chester and Margie have six married grandchildren: Mike (Khory) Jordan; Jason (Kathy) and Nicholas (Amanda) Cole; Mark (Carolynne) and James (Aiza) Duarte, and Grace (Ricardo) Murillo; as well as 14 great grandchildren: Alyx, Alyssa, Charlie, Andrew, Cady, Annalisse, Emilie, Isabella, Ava, Lucille, Vivian, Kali, Daniel, and Roman. Chester and Margie attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Baldwin Park, where he was a Music Minister and Lector, as well as the Grand Knight for the St. Jude Knights of Columbus Chapter #4980Chester and Margie were members of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Redlands and Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Grand Terrace. Chester loved making music with his family, studying and sharing the Bible and talking to everyone.
