Maria Ricci, 81, of Newark passed away on Friday. She was born in Italy to the late Giorgio and Maddalena Ricci and has lived in Newark since she came here from Italy 52 years ago.
Maria worked for Real Fit Dress Company for 22 years; she is survived by her sister Gerardina Capossela; niece, Phyllis Romano and her husband Bobby; great niece Alexis Romano; great nephew Michael; and many other loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Biagio, Alfonso, and Fortunato Ricci.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, Oct. 7th from 5-9 pm.
Funeral services will be conducted by the the Zarro Funeral Home, www.zarrofuneralhome.net). 145 Harrison Street, Bloomfield, NJ, on Wednesday Oct. 8th at 9:00 am followed by a mass at 10:30am at St. Lucy’s Church, Newark. The burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
