Theresa Vess Myers

Loving mother to Jerry G. Myers Jr. (Christie) and the late Jonathan A. Myers. Devoted Grandma to Natalie J. Myers. Cherished Aunt to Barbara Ann Veno and Mark Vess. Beloved friend to many.

Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Elmer and Mary Vess, Theresa met her husband Jerry G. Myers Sr., was a practicing Registered Nurse for many years, and taught Nursing to many students entering the medical field. After her husband's passing in 2006, Theresa moved to Valley City, Ohio to spend her golden years close to her son and granddaughter. She was an avid writer and cleared her Tuesday schedule every week to make time with her writing friends at the Medina County Senior Center. If she wasn't writing she was reading mysteries. She spent time sewing making outfits and costumes for the dogs. She enjoyed flowers and gardening including orchids and lemon trees. A lady of many words, Theresa liked her coffee hot and conversations long. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Her funeral service will be held at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel on Friday, August 30, 2024 beginning at 9:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Forest Crest Cemetery and a celebration of life gathering at Ridout’s Trussville from 11:00-1:00.
