Terrell Alton Hall, 73, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, after a life well lived, full of love and joy. Terrell lived most of his life in Birmingham, Alabama. On February 11, 1972, he married the love of his life, Sharon Love Hall at the age of 21. Together they raised two loving daughters, Heather, and Brandy.
For most of his life, Terrell worked as a firefighter and paramedic for the city of Mountain Brook, retiring in 2004 after 31 years of service. He was exceptionally proud to serve the city of Mountain Brook, and to serve the firefighters’ union for several years. He also owned an irrigation service business which he officially sold and retired from in 2019.
Terrell’s greatest love and deepest passion was his family. In his daughters’ school years, he was an avid supporter of his daughters’ athletic pursuits. He learned soccer for his girls and coached both of their teams for many years. Most Saturdays you could find him coaching on the sidelines of one of their soccer or basketball games or yelling from the stands as the resident “soccer dad.” Terrell continued this tradition with his grandkids, always cheering them on in their endeavors from athletics to theater, and marching band. He loved teaching his grandsons to fish and showing them how to cast, reel, and all the intricacies of fishing. Terrell never missed an opportunity to encourage and love his family.
Terrell loved traveling and was able to truly enjoy this passion once retired. He took great joy traveling with his wife to the mountains with any state and national parks being the highlight of their many trips together. Terrell loved to read and was rarely found without a book in hand. He amassed an impressive library that he was always proud to show off. Of course, during football season you could always find him cheering on his beloved Crimson Tide!
Terrell is preceded in death by his father Samuel, and mother Chris; two brothers, Samuel Hall, and Jerry Hall.
Terrell is survived by his soulmate, Sharon Love Hall, his daughters, Brandy Fountain (Chris), Heather Lane Stanley (Luke Anthony), his brother David Hall (Shirley), his grandchildren, Peyton Stanley, Andrew Stanley, Greyson Fountain, Ryker Fountain, as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
