Sharon Lynn Weldon

Sharon Lynn Weldon of Birmingham, AL passed away on Friday, May 24th, at the age of 79. She was born on July 30, 1939 in Birmingham, AL and was a member of Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church. She is proceeded in death by her parents William and Anna LaRochelle and her husband Donald Edward Weldon. She was a 1956 graduate of John Carroll Catholic High School and attended the University of Alabama. She is survived by her sons, Donald Edward Weldon Jr., and Keith Alan Weldon (Tina) and four grandchildren; Connor Jordan Weldon, Carson Joseph Weldon, Donald Edward Weldon III (Trae), and Hanna Elise Weldon. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 1st, at Elmwood Cemetery. The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice Care. Alyssa, Marilyn, and the other caretakers from Compassus Hospice were amazing to Sharon in the last few months of her life. In lieu of flowers, the family request making donations to Saint Francis Xavier School Endowment Fund, John Carroll Catholic High School Endowment Fund, or the Alzheimer’s Association Alabama Chapter Birmingham.
