Roger Gary James

Roger Gary James (Ron) sadly passed away on October 26, 2022 at his residence in Homewood, Alabama. He was born and raised in Brookside, Alabama. He graduated from Minor High School and attended U.A.B and Cosmetology School. As a cosmetologist, he worked many years in the Birmingham area.

He was preceded in death by parents; Carlton and Kathleen James and niece; Kathy Wallace. He is survived by his sister; Shirley Wallace, nephew; Gary Wallace (Songsuk), nieces; Sonia Lloyd Wallace (Cam) and Donna Wallace and many great nieces and nephews and friends.

Ron was a beautiful person and was loved dearly by family, co-workers and friends. He enjoyed life and we will forever miss him.

A public visitation for Ron will be held on Monday, October 31, 2022 from 10:00am-11:00am in the Mausoleum Chapel at Elmwood Cemetery located at 600 Martin Luther King Dr., with a Celebration of Life Service to follow at 11:00AM. An entombment will follow immediately at the same location following the Celebration of Life Service.
