SPIVEY, RICHARD V. SR., age 88 of Trafford, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Gilpin Spivey; son, James Laurence Spivey; and daughter, Jeannie Sue Spivey. He is survived by his sons, Richard V. Spivey, Jr. and Robert W. Spivey; daughters, Terri Leah Wyatt, Mary Rebecca Starr Spivey and Jennifer S. Mindler (George); grandchildren, Richard V. Spivey, III, Justin Blake Spivey, Colin Grant Spivey, Jennifer King, Jerisha Dunaway, Shelby McAnnally, McKenzi R. Mindler, Madison L. Mindler, Rachel Wyatt and David Wyatt; and several great-grandchildren. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 10-11 at Ridout’s Trussville Chapel with his service beginning at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Forest Crest Cemetery.
